The picture is of my dog, not me, although my dog could lose a few lbs too. I know I'm not grossly overweight but I was always the skinny kid growing up and as I've grown older, I've continued to add pounds each year. Now I'm officially overweight. My body fat percentage is 25%--not good. It's because I have never really paid attention to what I eat. On my most recent medical physical, blood tests determined that I'm pre diabetic, my cholesterol is elevated, and my triglycerieds are abnormally high. I'm on my way to a heart attack if I don't change my eating habits, and I thought this site my help me. I've educated myself about good nuitrition, but it all comes down to discipline and applying what I know about eating better.
